Immigration is one of the key issues in this year’s primaries and will remain a central focus as the presidential election approaches. This training will provide immigrant rights organizations with the know-how on non-profit advocacy parameters, non-profit tax regulations, and the opportunity to network with likeminded organizations in their region. The training is being offered through support from the Carnegie Corporation of New York and the Four Freedoms Fund. Topics to be covered during the training include:
- Affecting the passage or defeat of ballot initiatives;
- Getting out the immigrant vote; and
- Fundraising from foundations for advocacy projects.
